David says he has been reading Collectible Automobile? for a long time and was inspired to join the league of car spotters after seeing others' submissions from his part of Tennessee in print. The cars shown here come from the area around his home in Shelbyville. They include: 1. A 1963 Mercury Comet Custom convertible, one of 7354 made. 2. This 1968 International pickup with the Bonus-Load box. 3. From 1966, a Ford Galaxie 500 two-door hardtop. 4. A 1971 Plymouth Sport Fury "standard roof" hardtop coupe. 5. A visitor to the area from Canada-a sharp 1964 Buick Skylark two-door hardtop. 6. This 1952 Dodge four-door sedan, a body style that was available as a Coronet or a cheaper Meadowbrook.
