摘要

The synthesis of some new methanofullerenes with the intention to build more extended carbon structures is described and the aspect of axial chirality in suitably substituted diphenylmethanofullerenes is discussed. Advantages of Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionisation (MALDI) to characterise fullerene derivatives are demonstrated.
