摘要

Total vessel supply has slipped back, despite a number of vessels moving in from Middle East. Total vessels working on term charters in Asia Pacific has increased to 490 vessels, including some vessels that were reactivated from cold stack for term fixtures. Demand for OSVs in Asia Pacific started to improve in April after it declined since late 2021, which was mostly caused by the completion of short-term fixtures. With the high oil price, drilling operations and construction activities remain active thus improving demand for OSVs in the region. The Sumayla One 1,047 dwt PSV has been reactivated from lay-up and is currently on charter to ONGC offshore India. The 1983-built vessel commenced the charter in early April 2022 and is currently working on the Mumbai High field, off west coast India. The 1983-built vessel had been cold stacked in Mumbai, India since second quarter 2021 prior to this fixture.
