摘要

Atrazine is one of the most frequently identified pesticides in Europe. Current European standards stipulate that the maximum contaminant level (MCL) for the individual pesticide is 100 ng/L. This regulation stresses the need for a low-cost and effective treatment system. Adsorption is one promising solution, but, in general, breakthrough of the granular activated carbon filter occurs rapidly. Recent research has shown that ozonation alone utilized according to the usual practical conditions removes atrazine only poorly (15-25%). High oxidation reaction rates of the hydroxyl free radical suggest a better, removal method by combinations of O3/H2O2. The feasibility of such a combination has been evaluated in this present study.
