The Letecke Muzeum (Aviation Museum) of the Czech Republic's Military History Institute at Kbely in Prague has recently completed its restoration of its incredibly rare two-seat Avia CB-33, serial 5217. The aircraft is now on display at its facility near the capital city's Letnany Airport. This unique 1950s combat trainer was originally derived from the Avia B-33 - a Czechoslovakian licence-built training version of the Soviet's fearsome llyushin 11-10 'Beast' ground attack aircraft. The successor to llyushin's fabled Il-2 'Shturmovik' of World War Two, the Il-10 endured in service with more than a dozen nations around the globe between 1945-54 - including Czechoslovakia.
