Tightening supplies of corn and soybean meal, which are major feed ingredients used in Asia, have led to a serious threat of food inflation. Apart from higher feed and meat production costs, the holding stock in many countries is fast depleting.Falling stock and rising price of corn and soybean meal in Asia is triggering fears of another economic crisis like that of the early 2000s when hoarding occurred in some places within the region.
