Few airlines have changed as much over the past two years as Condor. An order in July 2021 for 16 Airbus A330-900s set wheels in motion for a move to an increasingly Airbus-dominated fleet, while the German carrier unveiled a radical new livery at the start of April 2022. The striking, stripy colour scheme was set to enter service on another aircraft type, the aforementioned A330neo, in the closing stages of 2022. Christian Schmitt, Condor's chief operating officer, told Aviation News: "An average of one A330-900 per month will join the Condor fleet until the complete fleet rollover is completed."
