Japan Petroleum Exploration Co. on Aug. 9 slashed its overseas equity crude oil sales outlook by 54% to 432,000 kiloliter, or 2.72 million barrels, for fiscal year 2022-23 (April-March) following lower sales of Iraqi crude oil. Japex attributed its downward revision from an May 13 outlook to decreasing crude oil sales from the Gharraf oil field in Iraq because of an expected drop in equity allocation volume on account of higher crude oil prices.
