摘要

Students must learn a large amount of content to complete a radiography program successfully and become well-prepared, entry-level technologists. Much of this education and preparedness relates to patient positioning, anatomy, and pathology. Educators use a variety of instructional resources to help students learn this information, including lectures, printed materials, and radiographs. Faculty also strive to engage students with various active learning techniques such as laboratory simulation and model construction. Uses for Active Learning The Anatomage Table (Anatomage, Inc) is a touchscreen interactive instrument that allows users to manipulate multiple, life-sized, digital cadavers in 3-D perspective. Radiologic sciences educators can use the Anatomage Table’s features to engage students and facilitate active, hands-on learning, including annotation tools, anatomy labeling, and virtual dissection. Users can customize the visibility of anatomic structures and highlight various bony landmarks. The Anatomage Table includes a case library of pathologic conditions organized by body region. Users can load computed tomography and magnetic resonance images onto the Anatomage Table and use its features to manipulate patient anatomy. In addition, faculty and students can save screenshots on portable drives using the available universal serial bus ports. Educators can use the Anatomage Table’s features to assess student learning through informal quizzing and formal assessment techniques.
