Operator Noble Energy commenced a field development work scope offshore Equatorial Guinea in early October 2020, chartering two Swire Pacific vessels to support the operations. The Alen Gas Monetisation project will consist of modifying three high-capacity production wells on the Alen Platform to deliver gas from the field to the Alba Plant and EG LNG facilities. Saipem have been contracted to complete the work scope which involves the installation of the 24-in, 70 km long gas pipeline linking the field to the onshore facilities. The Pacific Griffon 4,045 dwt PSV has been chartered on a three-month contract to support the construction operations and will work alongside the Pacific Victory 8,810 bhp AHTS. The Pacific Victory has been chartered by Noble since February 2018 supporting production operations on the FPSO Aseng but will now also assist the developments in the Alen Field. The Pacific Griffon was mobilised from Cote d'lvoire in August 2020 following two-months inshore and commenced duties with Noble in early October 2020. In mid-October BP kicked off a four-well drilling campaign offshore Angola. Operations in Block 18 are now underway with the drillship DS-12 and are expected to last until May 2020, with potential to extend this further with four optional wells outstanding. BP have chartered Swire Pacific duo; Pacific Goldfinch 4,054 dwt PSV and Pacific Gosling 4,089 dwt PSV on a firm six-month drilling support contract for the campaign. The PSV duo arrived in Angola in early October 2020 following mobilisation from Ghana. They had previously been supporting drilling operations with Tullow Oil offshore Ghana, completing this contract in August 2020. The contract with BP will keep the vessels fixed in Angola until March 2021 at the earliest.
