This will be just the fourth edition of the Air Legend show at Melun-Villaroche, but it has already established itself among the must-visit historic aircraft displays in Europe. A very broad spectrum of French-based and international performers is promised: classic jets in the form of the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron MiG-15UTi, Frederic Akary's Sabre, the Top Gun Voltige CT-133, the Hunter T68 from Amici dell'Hunter and an L-39 duo; piston warbirds such as the Air Leasing-operated P-47, TF-51D and Hurricane, Kris van den Bergh's Spitfire XVI and Fury; transport and maritime types including the Catalina from Plane Sailing, two C-47s, Noratlas and Alize; the best of the modern French military, and more besides. The Austrian Air Force's Fliegerhorst Hinterstoisser at Zeltweg hosts one of Europe's most spectacular airshows. The Flying Bulls fleet will be there in its entirety - P-38, P-51, Corsair, B-25, Sycamore and more - along with many other warbirds. National display teams include the Italian Air Force Frecce Tricolori, Swiss Air Force Patrouille Suisse, Spanish Air Force Aguila and Croatian Air Force Krila Oluje. But the centrepiece will be an artistic production called 'Vibes in the Sky', with Austrian Air Force assets comprising nine Alouette Ills (making a final public appearance before retirement), three PC-6s, a Typhoon and an AW169 flying to a specially composed symphony by Tristan Schulze, performed live by military musicians. How about that?
