AbstractSeventeen new alkyl (or phenacyl) phenyl (dichloromethyl)phosphonates were synthesised; seven of these showed poor fungicidal activity when testedin vitroagainstPyricularia oryzaebut some possessed high insecticidal activity againstCulex fatigansandDrosophila melanogaster.
