The Midcontinent Independent System Operator issued a severe weather alert effective Feb. 23-24 for parts of its Central and South regions, citing winter storm conditions with ice accumulations. In response, Indiana Hub day-ahead on-peak for Feb. 24 delivery jumped about $10.25 to price around $61.25/MWh on the Intercontinental Exchange.
