摘要

Life Line's technology upgrade is expected to begin at the end of 2009 or early 2010 and will take three years to complete. "We're going to grow and our expansion and technology will be the key to better efficiency and competitiveness," said K. Kishore Kumar Hegde, Life Line's Chairman and Managing Director. The company is integrated from feed milling, parent stock rearing & egg hatching, contract broiler farming and processing. It's operations are based in Chikmagalur town, about 250km west of India's IT city of Bangalore. In 2008, Life Line produced 600,000 birds/month, half of which was sold as live birds and the rest processed and sold through its five retail shops, one in Chikmagalur and four in Bangalore under 'Life Line's Tender Chicken' brand.
