In the earlier articles (Man-Made Textile in India, Vol-L(2), pp.58 and Vol-L(6), pp. 204), it was illustrated how to generate clear water from dye effluent and minimise pollution using membrane technology. The clear water was used for redyeing and then recycled five times. The present paper deals with efficacy of membrane type solute separation equipment to reduce pollution from effluent loads coming from textile wet processing industry. This technology will facilitate recycling of chemicals and conserve water during wet processing.
