Deep in the Pit: The Value of On-Site Measurement and Machining

摘要

To repair corrosion damage on the draft tube/shifting ring of the North Little Rock Electric Department's 41-MW Murray Hydro Project in Arkansas, a new portable laser measuring system with on-site welding and machining technologies was employed. The laser system allowed for quick, accurate three-dimensional measurement of hard-to-access hydropower plant components.
