PII Pipeline Solutions, a joint venture of GE Oil & Gas and Al Shaheen Energy Services, wholly owned by Qatar Petroleum, is helping to improve the long-term security of two of Australia's most important natural gas pipelines. In Western Australia, the 26in diameter 1400km Dampier-to-Bunbury pipeline delivering gas from the Carnarvon Basin in the North West Shelf to industrial, commercial and residential customers in Perth and the surrounding region will employ PipeView Integrity, a suite of pipeline data monitoring and management software, deployed by Contract Resources, PII's Australian operational partner on the project.
