The Friends of King Alfred Buses' (FoKAB) 1929 Leyland Lion LSC3 has been in action for the first time since it was acquired from the Scoular family in Scotland which owned and restored it with a replica of its original Leyland body. Although it was new to Hants & Dorset, RU 8678 has been painted in the livery of Winchester-based King Alfred Motor Services which had a similar vehicle and will remain so presented - as the flagship of the FoKAB collection - until it dons the different green and cream of its original owner in time for the Lion's centenary in six years' time.
