Natural history and prognosis of choroidal neovascularization

摘要

The natural history of choroidal neovascularization is described. Whereas the evolution of the response in various conditions is more or less similar, the extent of the lesion and thus the ultimate prognosis probably depends on the etiology and perhaps also on the involvement of the choroid. The prognosis is also markedly influenced by the site of appearance of the choroidal neovascular membrane.
