We present the characteristics of nanoporous silicate matrices (NPSM) and the stages of their preparation from two-phase raw glass DV-1. The application of NPSM in holography for creating volume-recording media with high physical and mechanical properties with a thickness of the order of a millimeter is considered. Experiments on the use of gold-sputtered NPSM as a substrate for the detection of small amounts of biomedical preparations by surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) are discussed.
