The novel method for automatic pattern recog- nition is presented.This method is based on Segment and Neigh- bors Matching algorithmwhich can be applied for recognizing of distinct well-knownalphabets, complex glyphs, and Arabic scripts. In this work somedifferent reported methods have been evaluated on Latin, Chinesecharacters, and Mayan glyphs with the principle objective to selectthose with the highest processing speed and recognition grade.
