Rob Davidson, whose work with Adirondack guideboats is noted elsewhere in this issue (see page 40), has also been rebuilding a schooner for himself in Lake Clear, New York. He found the boat, FREEDOM, a 36-footer built to a design by John G. Alden, in the "boats for free" section of the classified ads in WB No. 278. The boat was launched in 1973 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, after 11 years in construction.
