The final speaker of gasworld's Europe CO2 Summit 2022,Rob Niven,Chair and CEO of CarbonCure Technologies,discussed CarbonCure's efforts to remove 500 million tonnes of CO,(carbon dioxide)annually by 2030.Providing context,Niven stated that cement is responsible for around 7% of annual global greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions,primarily-due to process emissions."Cement makes up only 12% of the weight of concrete,but is responsible for 95% of concrete's carbon footprint,"revealed Niven.
