Optical systems for preparing hierarchical states

This paper discusses a system for preparing entangled states with hierarchical structure. The main resources are a set of two correlated physical systems, one of which consists of photons, semitransparent mirrors, and single-photon detectors. (c) 2005 Optical Society of America.
