Iraq plans to sign six crude oil and natural gas contracts awarded in 2018 to develop fields on the country's borders with Kuwait and Iran after getting clearance from the government's council of ministers. The six contracts will be signed next week, the oil ministry said in a Feb. 15 statement, without giving a specific date. The contracts to develop the fields were awarded in Iraq's fifth licensing round in April 2018 to the UAE's Sharjah-based Crescent Petroleum, China's Geo-Jade, and Unv2-based United Energy Group.
