A study was conducted to develop a profile of the learning readiness of hospital dietitians to use cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA). Twenty-four registered dietitians who manage clinical staffs and are responsible for outcomes of patient care completed the three-phase project: preassessment, education, and evaluation. Results showed no significant difference in the mean incorrect responses from the pre-test (2.8) and post-test (2.6) scores. Eighty-eight percent found the workshop and training materials helpful, but 50|X% stated that they were not ready to conduct a CEA and wanted more education
