This paper describes a method for determining the absolute profile of the ground aspheric surface of large astronomical mirrors, using a linear three-point spherometer successively displaced perpendicular to the direction from the center to the edge of the item, as well as a method for determining the vertex radius. Examples are given of the successful use of these methods. (C) 2015 Optical Society of America.
