Smt. Arati Ahuja, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Department of Textiles & Handlooms, Govt. of Odisha, Bhubaneswar speaking at the Farmers-meet-cum exhibition organized at Baripada by Regional Tasar Research Station, Baripada on March 20-21, 2010. She applauded the farmers for record harvest of tasar cocoon and advised them to continue the efforts further. She also briefed about the plan and programme of the state government for development of sericulture. Shri L.N. Nayak, IAS, Director of Textiles & Handlooms, Bhubaneswar emphasized to develop private grainures and seed rearers from the progressive tasar farmers to meet the increasing demand of basic seed. Dr. B.C. Prasad, Director, CTR&TI, Ranchi briefed about objectives of Cluster Promotion Programme.
