One of the major problems of Hedges et al.'s correspondence is that it largely does not address the topics covered in our paper, but instead digs up arguments about a 2-year-old exchange in a different journal. Because their statements are merely repetitions of these previous rebuttals, we feel that listing all the evidence against their poorly considered comments is inappropriate here and can rather be found in our former exchange. Therefore, we feel obligated to respond only to the following issues.
