A field experiment was conducted during kharif and rabi seasons of 2016-17 and 2017-18 at the College of Agriculture, RVSKW, Indore, (M.P.) to assess the growth and biomass productivity of soybean under soybean-wheat cropping system with land configuration practices in Vertisol of Malwa region. The growth parameters viz. plant height (45.17 and 46.33cm), dry weight (16.37 and 16.90 g/plant) and leaf area index (7.00 and 7.14) were recorded significantly higher under minimum tillage with ridge and furrow (MT+RF) over rest of land configuration practices. MT+RF produced significantly superior root nodules/plant and dry weight of root nodule/plant than other land configuration practices during both the year. Seed yield of soybean was observed significantly greater (1613 and 1886 kg/ha) under MT+RF over conventional tillage with flat bed (CT+FB), respectively during two years. Straw yield (2966 and 3100 kg/ha) and biomass productivity (4579 and 4986 kg/ha) were recorded significantly higher under MT+RFfollowed by minimum tillage with broad bed furrow (MT+BBF), conventional tillage with broad bed furrow (CT+BBF) and conventional tillage with flat bed(CT+FB).
