Back in 1967, spurred on by the success of 'DF at the Paris Salon and in trials at home and in Switzerland, Beagle set about the design and build of the Pup 150. On 4 October it was the turn of the prototype, G-AVLM (c/n 003), to take to the skies. The second Pup, c/n 002, was only built to be ground-tested to destruction. 'LM was soon hailed as a breakthrough for Beagle. With the extra power and a third seat behind the pilot and co-pilot, it was better as a family touring aircraft than the 100. Now owned by Martin and David Jones, and kept in storage, G-AVLM has its own story to tell.
