A unique quartet of 'V-bomber' cockpits is being offered for potential sale. The Cockpit Collection, assembled by Nigel Towler, most notably includes the largest section of Vickers Valiant still in existence with the exception of the complete example at the RAF Museum Cosford — this is the nose of B(K)1 XD826, which survived as a ground trainer at Feltwell after the rest of the airframe was scrapped in 1965. XD826 served with Nos 7, 90,138 and, briefly, 543 Squadrons, as well as with No 232 Operational Conversion Unit.
