Creating microlens arrays in K8 glass for wave-front sensors

Electrically stimulated migration of silver ions has been used to fabricate microlens arrays in K8 glasses. A theoretical model has been developed for the dependence of the parameters of the microlenses on the technological regimes for fabricating them. These microlens arrays were used in Shack-Hartmann sensors to determine the wave-front distortions.
