Valves and prune bellyspecific management in the neonatal period

摘要

The frequency of prenatally detected posterior urethral valves and prune-belly syndrome is increasing with the use of prenatal ultrasonography. Early enthusiasm for intrauterine intervention has faded. In the management of posterior urethral valves, conservative minimal surgery in the neonatal period is preferable if its long-term prognosis is similar to that of early aggressive treatment.
