The navigational reference Waypoint is the title chosen for this autumn's multi-site exhibition of porcelain vessels by Jack Doherty. Taking place in St Ives, the core of the show is hosted by the New Craftsman Gallery, with an element of the work extending to three non-art sites in the town during the September festival, focusing on the historic fishermen's chapels and their traditional places of refuge. St Ives was once a thriving fishing port. The sea and tin mining were the dominant trades and the harsh livelihood of the people.
