Shipments(inspections)of small seamless cylinders with capacities below 30 ￡(including standard steel,aluminum,and stainless steel)totaled 1,483,677 in fiscal 2021.Behind the large increase of well over 200,000 cylinders compared to normal years was the radical increase in imported cylinders under 1 ￡ accompanying an overseas carbonated water producer setting up a carbon dioxide cylinder plant.Excluding carbon dioxide cylinders under 1 ￡,shipments of seamless cylinders for carbon dioxide in fiscal 2021 fell 3.8% year on year to 128,396.Small seamless cylinders for oxygen rose by 30.3%.Cylinders for nitrous oxide rose sharply by 42.6% due to the recovery of demand for whipped cream in cafes and growth in demand for cosmetic surgery.
