The discovery of 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-based oxoammonium salts in 1965 by Golubev et al.has led to the synthesis of a number of oxoammonium-based oxidizing agents with diverse properties.However,many of the oxoammonium salts or their precursors are either not commercially available or are expensive.
