Overview of Dryland Agriculture Research and Achievements in South West Semi-Arid Zone of Uttar Pradesh

Agra Centre of All India Co-ordinated Research Project for Dryland Agriculture, located at Agra under the jurisdiction of Raja Balwant Singh College, Bichpuri Agra, formerly known as B.R College and was initiated in 1970 as a sub-centre at same location. The Agra centre of AICRPDA represents Southwestern semi-arid region of Uttar Pradesh covering 8 districts, i.e., Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Hathras, Aligarh, Mathura, Etah and Kansi Ram Nagar with geographical area of 22424 Km2, accounting for 7.62area of the state.
