A large number of attendees commented on the high quality of the scientific program and the presentations therein, as well as on the smooth running and efficient organization of the Congress. It is clear from the high quality of the scientific program that the INQUA congress continues to be a major venue for the communication of Quaternary research. The symposia and poster session conveners deserve credit for assembling a highly successful scientific program. The format of oral symposia, linked and topical poster sessions, and plenary sessions worked well, and appropriate time was given for each mode of presentations. Although attendance on the field trips was somewhat disappointing, the trips that were run were highly successful and enjoyed by all, thanks to the dedication and energy of the field trip leaders and co-leaders. The smooth running and efficient organization of the Congress was largely due to the experience and dedication of the staff of the Geological Society of America led by Diane Matt and the logistical and programmatic support from Darline Daley of Quality Business Services. All of the staff of the Reno Hilton were very professional and dedicated.
