While workers were getting back to the job after protests disrupted Coastal GasLink pipeline construction in western Canada, another blocked road action was playing out on the other side of the world. Australian news outlets said three protesters had chained themselves to concrete barriers and used an SUV and a caravan to block an access road to Woodside's Karratha Gas Plant and Pluto LNG facilities, along with other industrial sites in the Port of Dampter. The protest on Wednesday followed Woodside's announcement on Tuesday to proceed with the Scarborough gas project offshore Western Australia.
