PARTICIPANTS IN the biennial Talisman Sabre exercise this year included at least one US Air Force/5th Bomb Wing B-52H Stratofortress from the 23rd Expeditionary Bomb Squadron 'Bomber Barons' at Minot Air Force Base (AFB), North Dakota, which was operating from Andersen AFB, Guam, where it was part of a Bomber Task Force rotation. Talisman Sabre 21 (TS21) is the ninth iteration of the largest bilateral training activity between Australia and the US. It ran from late June until mid-August, although the primary exercise period was from July 18-31.
