Gazprom Neft said it has successfully tested Russian-manufactured surfactants, which are used by oil companies to increase recovery rates. Russia has long depended on foreign surfactants and other specialty chemicals used for enhanced oil recovery, but because sanctions put some of those products out of reach, it is keen to develop a domestic production capability.
