In one of Barack Obama's final policy decisions, plans have been announced to improve the transparency of workplace injury figures in the USA by publishing incident statistics from employers on the website of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the US equivalent of the HSE. For the first time, annual statistics for certain dangerous industries will be made public, so that anyone will be able to see, and judge for themselves, the health and safety performance of an organisation.
