A 58-year-old woman presented with progressive breathlessness over several years. She worked in the ceramic industry with crystalline silica exposure for 14 years but had never smoked. The lung function tests revealed a moderate obstructive vgntila-tory defect and a severe reduced diffusing capacity of carbon monoxide. A chest radiograph revealed calcified antracosilicotic nodules within the lung parenchyma and typical egg-shell calcifications of the hilar, mediastinal and supraclavicular lymph nodes. Moreover, a rare presentation of multiple calcified spots in the spleen and egg-shell calcifications in the splenic hilum can be seerv (Figure 1).
