Trouble ahead for Brazil's KC-390?

The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) has reduced its planned order for Embraer's KC-390 Millennium. Having initially announced it would drop its order from 28 units to just 15 in November 2021 due to fiscal and budget constraints caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the FAB has reached a new agreement with the manufacturer for 22 examples of the medium, twin-engine, multi-mission platform. However, deliveries have been scheduled out until2034, Embraer said; the previous contract was for deliveries to be completed in 2027.
