Population and Family Studies on the Amount of Salivary ABH Blood Group Substances

Abstract.The saliva of 600 subjects (369 unrelated individuals and 231 distributed in 42 families) was analyzed as to the titre of the specific ABO substances and of the H substance. The distribution of secretor and non‐secretor individuals is in agreement with data reported by others. It has been shown that a correlation exists between the amount of the specific substance and of the H substance in unrelated individuals.
