US agricultural processor Archer Daniels Midland (ADM - Decatur, Illinois) has forged an alliance with the Syngenta Group. The parties have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to scale up research, processing and commercialization of oilseed varieties such as camelina with low carbon content. The deal is geared towards serving the biofuels industry. The partnership involves the companies leveraging their existing capabilities to achieve the targets envisaged by the deal.
