Rosneft ups Bashneft claim

The government of Bashkortostan, Bashneft’s regional base, has joined Rosneft’s law suit against former Bashneft owner Sistema, after Rosneft upped its damages claim by 60pc to around $3bn. Rosneft and Bashkortostan are claiming Rbs170.6bn ($3.02bn) from Sistema, for alleged asset-stripping and financial losses at Bashneft, up from the Rbs106.6bn originally demanded by Rosneft.
