Staffing of palliative care consultation services in community hospitals.

Dear Editor:Most professionals involved in palliative care are aware that no staffing standards, either minimums or recommendations, have been published. I am writing in follow-up to Dr. Andrew Billings' letter about his survey about staffing for consult services in academic health centers.I have additional survey data to offer for staffing in community hospitals that complements Dr Billings' data.
