Absorption of light by free electrons in semiconductors. II. Processes involving acoustic phonons

The absorption coefficient of light for intraband transitions involving acoustic phonons is calculated for arbitrary concentrations of free electrons. The frequency and temperature dependences of the light absorption coefficient for a ZnTe crystal were obtained. (C) 2017 Optical Society of America
